Diagnostic Packet is free and open-source software provided under the MIT License. You may use, copy, modify, and distribute it under that license.

Your responsibility

You control the manifest, local evidence, and exported archive. Inspect packet contents before sharing them and obtain permission before collecting data from a machine or project you do not own. Do not use the software to gather information without authorization.

No warranty

The software and site are provided “as is,” without warranty of any kind. Automated redaction is a safety aid, not a guarantee. Project-specific formats can contain sensitive information the built-in patterns do not recognize.

Changes

Material changes will be documented in the project repository and dated on this page. Continued use of a new release is acceptance of the terms distributed with that release.
